It is an important question I ask myself. Why blog?… Why share?…Who’ll care?
Why blog? An honest disclaimer – I am entering into this venture for a purely selfish reason – I forget easily. Sometimes it is a blessing, forgetting a past hurt. A lot of times it is a hazard – forgetting what I’ve seen, learned, done… even who I am. Putting events, memories, revelations into words makes it more real – at least for me.
Why share? I don’t think I’m much different than anyone else on life’s journey – desiring to enjoy the way, seek truth, find peace, leave footprints. Sharing how moments of grace leave an impression on me may help others in their life’s trip. I hope wisdom will emerge as I reflect.
Who’ll care? God. That’s my primary desire – that in remembering moments, seasons of grace in my own life, I will live better as a follower of Jesus, stumbling less along the way. And when I stumble, being formed more into image God had in his mind’s eye when he created me. And sure, you are reading this so I hope you will care. I hope it will bring you encouragement, comfort, peace, laughter, love, truth, community wherever you are.
